Message of Godhead (Karma Yoga) – Hindi

    25

This introductory book offers a brief look at karma-yoga and transcendental knowledge. God has a message for us: We’re not the body; we are spiritual beings. The book “Message of Godhead” talks about these two simple truths will bring us to self-realization and God realization. Human society has been divided into four social orders by Lord Krishna, the Personality of Godhead. This natural division has existed since time immemorial and divides society into brahmanas (intellectual class), kshatriyas (administrative class), vaishyas (mercantile class) and shudras (laborer class). In every part of the globe one can observe that the human population is naturally divided on this basis – a person’s psychology and work. When these four social orders cooperatively serve God, then all will be happy.

Dharma, The Way of Transcendence (Dharma Divya Ka Marg) – Hindi

    50

Dharma means “inherent, unchanging nature”; sugar’s dharma is to be sweet, water is always wet, and fire’s dharma is to emit heat and light. Dharma also means our natural duty; beavers build dams, spiders build webs, and dogs bark. As humans, we have social, familial, religious, and civic duties. But our ultimate human dharma is to find life’s ultimate answers; who we are, why we’re here, and what we’re supposed to do.

Dharma, the Way of Transcendence is a compilation of lectures on human dharma that His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada gave during his 1972 tour of India. He says that every living being’s dharma is service—no one can exist for a moment without serving someone or something else, even if it’s only our mind and senses. But serving the Supreme Person is the one thing that can give the self genuine happiness.

Ramayana: The Game of Life Book 3: Adopt Patience

    350

The Ramayana is not a story. It is a way of life. It is the game of life.

Feeling frustrated over events that are out of our control is a waste of energy and time. Rama and his army survived the grim years of exile by being patient and persistent, trusting each other with their lives. The characters’ determination reflects our own set of values and judgment during challenging situations.

This book teaches us that we need to be righteous to stay on course. Cheating for personal gain will not ensure our triumph. Instead, unwavering loyalty to our principles will do so. It reiterates that challenging situations will be present anywhere and everywhere we go. It is how we handle those situations that define us as a person. It teaches us to remain calm in the face of adversity.

Do you have the patience to stick with your goals till the end?

Adopt Patience, is the third book in Ramayana: The Game of Life series. A modern retelling of the Aranya Kanda of Valmiki’s epic, this volume explores the dynamics of the complex games of power and greed, mirroring our own dilemmas in the modern world and prompts us to overcome them using the wisdom spilled over these pages.

Teachings of Lord Kapila : The Son of Devahuti ( Bengali )

    60

Lord Kapila is a renowned sage and the author of the philosophical system known as Sankhya, which forms an important part of India’s ancient philosophical heritage.

Sankhya is a system of metaphysics that deals with the elemental principles of the universe; it is also a system of spiritual knowledge, with its own methodology, and culminates in full consciousness of the Supreme Absolute.

Lord Kapila, however, is not an ordinary philosopher or sage but an incarnation of God.

This book deals with his answers to his mother’s enquiry about how to overcome ignorance and delusion and attain spiritual enlightenment.

The underlying theme running throughout his answers and throughout Srila Prabhupada’s commentaries on them is that one can achieve this goal by practicing bhakti-yoga, the process of linking one’s heart to the Lord’s heart through loving devotional service.

This series, with original Sanskrit, translations, and purports, sheds light on such topics as the significance of the guru, the psychology of consciousness, the characteristics of a self-realized person, the science of meditation, the nature of transcendental knowledge, and the process of ultimate liberation.

Life Comes from Life (Jivan Ka Strot Jivan) – Hindi

    60

Theories about the origin of life come and go like fashion trends. India’s Vedic tradition, however, has always remained consistent on this point; “life” is the natural condition of everything; there has always been and always will be life, manifesting in infinite varieties.

Life Comes From Life is a collection of conversations between Srila Prabhupada and his disciple Thoudam D. Singh, Ph.D., an organic chemist, in Los Angeles during the mid-1970’s.

Srila Prabhupada encouraged his students to use logic, reason, and scientific methods to discredit atheistic, materialistic propaganda, such as the notion that life comes from nothing. Why should we believe something can come from nothing, when all around us, every day, we see life coming from other life?

The topmost yoga system – English

    35

Although there are many types of yoga practice, the Vedic literature explains that no matter which practice you choose, success is only achieved when bhakti is present.
What is bhakti-yoga, and how can you add it to your life or your current yoga practice? As bhakti is a pivotal element in any yogic or religious practice, it is known as the topmost yoga. In the Bhagavad-gita, Krishna explains bhakti-yoga to his dear friend Arjuna, and here Srila Prabhupada expands these concepts in this introductory text. On July 29, 1971, Srila Prabhupada spoke at the University of Florida in Gainesville on the meaning and goal of yoga. The lecture was transcribed, edited, and later published as Krishna Consciousness, the Topmost Yoga System.

The Sanskrit word yoga, he told the students, originally meant much more than physical exercise; it referred to a lifestyle focused on achieving direct experience of God. Practitioners would live far away from mainstream society, restrain their senses, and perform austere meditation with the aim of transcending the physical body entirely.

Such a lifestyle isn’t so practical now; very few people these days are prepared to live a secluded, austere, or sense-controlled life. But anyone can still attain yoga’s ultimate goal via the practical, effective method of Krishna consciousness, bhakti-yoga, the system of devotional service to the Supreme Person.

In bhakti, the mind and senses are fully engaged in spiritual activity, rather than controlled by rigorous gymnastics. Every aspect of our lives—working, playing, walking, talking, thinking, feeling, willing—can be yoga, when done in the right consciousness. Sweat, spandex, and expensive mats are optional.
